DATA COLLECTION

Most remote sensing data are worthless without ground control and ground truth data, e.g. data which will tell you what you observe on the ground. Ground truth data is needed to calibrate and classify our remotely sensed data. Ground truth data thus is essential for you to interpret your imagery and assess the accuracy of your mapping and/or monitoring.

In the Applications initiative at AU, KU and DTU we have the following equipment available for through data collection:

  • Reflectance panels
  • Ground control points in various sizes
  • GNSS technology
  • Frames for ground truthing

Last, we are happy to provide guidance From Aim to Answers.
